The Opportunity
The Partnership Officer will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Save the Children’s Country Strategic Plan with strong and strategic partnerships at the field office level, ensuring that Save the Children benefits from mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships to achieve joint objectives and results for children while strengthening civil society. The Partnership Officer will lead on Save the Children’s partnership approach in SCI Turkiye Field Offices and improve and adapt current tools and practices. The Partnership Officer will work closely with the field office teams (Technical Advisors, Operations team, Awards, Advocacy, Finance) to ensure that partners are supported and their capacities, as relevant, are strengthened. The Partnership Officer will be responsible for 3 main areas: 1) identification and relationship building with partners, 2) relationship management, 3) capacity building and civil society strengthening. The Partnership Officer will work with both well-established and new and emerging organizations and networks.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- Minimum 2 years work experience in the humanitarian sector/with NGOs, with at least 1 year experience in partnership based programming or community based programming
- Experience in implementing programs in humanitarian and development contexts aimed at building capacity of civil society organizations.
- Thorough knowledge of civil society organisations, international non-governmental organisations, government structures
- Good skills and experience in all aspects of programme cycle management - design and development, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.
- Good training, facilitation and capacity building skills
- Proven experience in field level representation with key stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills of English and Turkish (required)
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
- Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy.
- Computer literate (including working knowledge of Microsoft Office)
- Familiar with basic legal and financial matters
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and discretion with confidential information
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Commitment to the values, mission and principles of Save the Children.
Position holder will be based in Hatay, therefore legal right to work in Türkiye is necessary at the time of application. Applications will be evaluated in a rolling basis.
