Job Description
● Estimate repair costs
● Inspect and test engines and motors to diagnose and isolate faults
● Adjust, repair or replace parts using hand tools and equipment
● Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance
● Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment
● Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment
● Instruct apprentices
● Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
● May drive to client’s locations to perform small repairs
● Responsible for repairing and maintaining various equipment such as pressure washers,
● vacuums, air compressors, dust collectors, high pressure pumps, vehicles, vac trucks,
etc. Both diesel and gasoline engines.
Requirements
1. Education: Secondary school education is required.
2. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, then a post-secondary education certificate in the trade is required OR completion of a three-to four-year apprenticeship program in small engine or equipment repair is required. Valid Driver’s License is required.
3. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Hand-eye coordination, Ability to distinguish between colors, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, bending, crouching, and kneeling
4. Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, reliability, judgment, efficient interpersonal skills, Team player, organized.
5. Work site environment: Noisy, Confined spaces, Dusty, Odours, and Wet/damps
Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
6. Language: English is required.
Benefits
Salary: From $25.00 per hour, 40-45 hours per week.

Important information
Flexibility on schedule is required. The candidate will work 5 days per week, Monday to Friday,from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (including paid lunch and break time). Work on weekends and overtime may be required depending on the business needs.
